Ted Talk with Carl Hart

On September 11th, 2014, this video above was published on YouTube. Featured in this video was Doctor Carl Hart. Hart, a misfit who came from the poor, drug filled slums, is a neuroscientist and drug addiction expert who thought that his neighborhood was bad because of drugs. As a young man, Hart said that drugs are so addicting, "that the user only needed one hit to become addicted". But after having the opportunity to go to college and research addiction, he realized something that we all didn't think possible. That "drug addiction did not result in an in emendable downward spiral leading to disparity and addiction". When a drug user is given the choice of money or drugs, 50% of the time, the user takes the money. Also, if the money amount increases, then the user mostly always choices the money. After this, Carl Hart saw that drugs do not always cause an addiction.
